PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent wasteful power consumption by preventing articles in a showcase storage from being cooled more than necessary when the lighting in a shop is switched off and the radiation heat from the lighting does not exist. SOLUTION: An illumination meter is installed in a shop sales floor 10 provided with an open showcase 3 and a flat-type showcase 4 where the heat exchange is conducted by a cooler, and a temperature of the cold air discharged into the storage is compared to control a temperature. Whether the lighting in the shop sales floor is switched on or off is detected by the illumination meter, and a set temperature of the open showcase 3 and the flat showcase 4 is increased by a specific width in comparison with an ordinary set temperature when the lighting is switched off.
