PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a quenching holder for reducing a nonuniform cooling for an article to be treated which has been charged into a cooling tank that accommodates a cooling liquid so as to be quenched, while preventing an increase in a facility cost and a quantity of necessary quenching oil. SOLUTION: The quenching holder 8 has a plate 804 provided with a hole 804a of a straightening means, in order to adjust at least a part of flow among the flows of the cooling liquid occurring around a bevel gear 9 which has been charged into the cooling tank that accommodates the oil so as to be quenched.
