PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a flame-retardant resin composition exhibiting excellent flame retardancy as well as excellent low-water absorption and hardly suffering from dimensional changes or deterioration in insulating properties. SOLUTION: This flame-retardant resin composition comprises (A) an aliphatic polyamide resin, (B) an aromatic polyamide resin, (C) a flame-retardant comprising a component C1 comprising (C1a) a phosphinic acid salt represented by formula (I) and/or (C1b) a diphosphinic acid salt represented by formula (II) and/or a polymer comprising at least one of (C1a) and (C1b) and a component C2 comprising (C2a) a condensation product of melamine, or (C2b) a reaction product of melamine with phosphoric acid, or (C2c) a reaction product of the condensation product of melamine with phosphoric acid or a mixture comprising at least two of (C2a)-(C2c), and (D) an inorganic filler.
