PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a readily decomposable polylactic acid stereocomplex body and a biodegradable material containing the same. SOLUTION: The polylactic acid stereocomplex material has excellent heat resistance and is readily hydrolyzed with an enzyme such as proteinase K, subtilisin,α-chymotrypsin, etc., and comprises a poly-D-lactic acid and a poly-L-lactic acid in the ratio of 10:90-45:55.
