PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toothed belt type transmission mechanism and a recording device restricted in the generation of noise, saved in power and improved in durability and capable of realizing accurate paper feeding. SOLUTION: In the toothed belt type transmission mechanism, a toothed belt 103 is stretched between a driving pulley 101 and a driven pulley 102, and driving force is transmitted by the toothed belt to drive the driven pulley.
