COOLING STRUCTURE OF CYLINDER LINER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make temperature distribution of a cylinder liner uniform to cool the cylinder liner effectively and increase cooling efficiency in a cooling structure of the cylinder liner. SOLUTION: This cooling structure is constituted by circulating cooling water supplied from a water pump in a water jacket 26 formed along the outer periphery of the cylinder liner 12 to cool the cylinder liner 12. A first water storing part 62 for storing cooling water temporarily is formed around the water jacket 26. The first water storing part 62 and the water jacket 26 are mutually communicated by a plurality of cooling water through holes 63. The cooling water flowing in the cooling water through holes 63 flows in/collides against an internal wall 54a of the water jacket 26 substantially vertically. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
