GROUND VIBRATION ANALYSIS SYSTEM, METHOD AND PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ground vibration analysis system capable of evaluating ground stability by low computational complexity. SOLUTION: Input seismic vibrations giving the external forces applied to ground are set up to calculate the stress on estimated slip lines at the time of earthquake based on a model prepared by a finite element method using average ground properties or the standard deviation of ground properties. Then forces acting on the estimated slip lines are calculated by the Monte Carlo method based on the stresses determined using average ground properties or their standard deviation at the time of earthquake. Also resistances at estimated slip lines are determined to decide slip safety factor Fs (resistances/acting forces). COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
