A fuel cell system capable of appropriately supplying gas by using a simple construction by an ejector depending on load of a fuel cell. A fuel cell system (1) uses an ejector (24) provided in a gas supply system (4) to cause new gas, which is to be supplied to a fuel cell (2), to be joined to and supplied with off-gas discharged from the fuel cell (2). The ejector (24) has a nozzle (46) for ejecting the new gas and producing negative pressure for sucking the off-gas and has a flow rate control mechanism (47) for controlling the flow rate of the new gas passing the nozzle (46). A first flow path (81) for guiding the off-gas to the flow rate control mechanism (47) is provided in the gas supply system (4). The flow rate control mechanism (47) controls the flow rate of the new gas depending on the pressure of the off-gas led from the first flow path (81).
