<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a fluid from being blown out by reducing the size of the structure of a seal portion to eliminate a clearance between the tip of a wire and the surface of a rotating shaft. <P>SOLUTION: This brush sealing device seals a working fluid axially flowing along the surface of the rotating shaft 101 in a clearance between the rotating shaft formed by passing a pressure vessel 106 or a pressure partition wall 105 partitioning the pressure vessel into multiple chambers in which pressure difference occur and a hole in which the rotating shaft in the pressure partition wall is passed by disposing the bundle of wires 2 from the hole peripheral face of the pressure partition wall 105 to the surface of the rotating shaft 101. The bundle of the wires 2 are brought into contact, at acute angle, with the surface of the rotating shaft 101 in the direction of a high pressure side, and the length of the wires 2 reaches the surface of the rotating shaft from the hole peripheral surface in the pressure partition wall 105 or is formed longer than the length of the radial clearance. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
