<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell reducing exhausting of anode gas as unreacted gas by enhancing reactivity of the anode gas. <P>SOLUTION: Separators 20, 30 are installed on both sides of a membrane electrode assembly 14 formed with an electrolyte membrane 11, a cathode layer 12, and an anode layer 13. A gas reaction passage 31 installed in the separator 30 is formed such that the depth becomes shallow in stages from an inlet 32 to an outlet 33. Thereby, pressure difference between the pressure in a reaction passage 21 installed in the separator 20 on the cathode layer 12 side and the pressure in the gas passage 31 is reduced, anode gas can sufficiently be approached to the anode layer, and reactivity of hydrogen gas can be enhanced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
