PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively acquire travel value data not including noise components when travel resistance is calculated in traveling of a vehicle from travel value data displaced along with the traveling of the vehicle. SOLUTION: A vehicle with auxiliary power unit comprises: a rotation position sensor 13 measuring a rotation displacement amount of a motor 11; a low-pass filter 17 performing filtering to rotation displacement amount data measured by the sensor 13 to remove noise components included in the data; a torque sensor 14 measuring a man-power driving force in the traveling of the vehicle; the motor 11 imparting an auxiliary driving force to the man-power driving force; an auxiliary driving force measuring means 20 measuring the auxiliary driving force; a travel resistance calculating means 18 calculating the travel resistance acting on the vehicle in traveling based on the filtered rotation displacement amount data, man-power driving force data, and auxiliary driving force data; a means 19 for calculating auxiliary driving force by the resistance corresponding to the calculated travel resistance; and a motor output control part 12 calculating the auxiliary driving force imparted to the man-power driving force based on the auxiliary driving force by the resistance.
