PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bidirectional one time ID authenticating system which automatically authenticates a user without inputting a user ID and a password and does not perform authentication at a contents server. SOLUTION: The bidirectional one time ID authenticating system is provided with: an authenticating server for defining an initial authentication code according to an URL of the contents server and a user ID defined by the contents server, and managing the URL of the contents server, the user ID, and the initial authentication code by associating them with an authentication key for performing bidirectional one time ID authentication; a portable terminal for installing the authentication key from the authentication server to perform bidirectional one time ID authentication with the authentication server; and a gateway server which the portable terminal accesses. The portable terminal performs the bidirectional one time ID authentication by using the authentication key with the authentication server via the gateway server and, when the authentication is successful, requests contents of the contents server via the gateway server.
