PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To changeover the horizontal to vertical aspect ratio of a trimming frame with operability. SOLUTION: When the corner part 205a of the trimming frame 205 is specified with a mouse 27, a corner part specifying arrow cursor 250 is displayed in an image display field 204 and the field 204 is divided into virtual areas A1, A2 by a boundary line 252. The virtual area A1 is the area where the aspect ratio of the trimming frame 205 is P:Q and the virtual area A2 is the area where the horizontal to vertical aspect ratio of the virtual area A1 is changed-over so as to define the aspect ratio as Q:P. When the corner part specifying arrow cursor 250 for specifying the corner part 205a exists in the virtual area A2 after being dragged over the boundary line 252 from the state of existence in the virtual area A1, for example, the aspect ratio of the trimming frame 205 is changed from P:Q into Q:P.
