PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plastic optical fiber cable which is high in adhesion between a plastic optical fiber and a coating layer while having high optical characteristics, and is excellent in heat resistant stability and productivity. SOLUTION: The plastic optical fiber cable has a polyamide coating layer on the periphery of a plastic optical fiber comprising a core and at least one layer or more of clad formed around the core, wherein a layer comprising a fluorine-containing copolymer (X) containing a monomer unit of a specified fluorine-containing unsaturated compound and a monomer unit of a specified unsaturated carboxylic acid or its salt or ester is applied as the outermost layer of the clad.
