PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device improving a gradation inversion phenomenon. SOLUTION: Disclosed is the liquid crystal display device having a plurality of pixel areas. Each pixel area has a 1st substrate, a 2nd substrate, a liquid crystal layer sandwiched between the 1st and 2nd substrates, a 1st pixel electrode formed on a portion of the 1st substrate, a 1st pixel driving element which is formed on a portion of the 1st substrate and electrically connected to the 1st pixel electrode, a 2nd pixel electrode which is formed on a portion of the 1st substrate, a 2nd pixel driving element which is formed on a portion of the 1st substrate and electrically connected to the 2nd pixel electrode, and a common electrode which is formed on the inside surface of the 2nd substrate, and the 1st and 2nd pixel driving elements have different ON currents (I<SB>ON</SB>) so that voltages of the 1st and 2nd pixel electrodes become different from each other.
