PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile terminal device capable of preventing a secondary battery pack and a mobile terminal device from being damaged due to charging, in such a manner that, even if it is connected to a charging device with a non-compatible secondary battery pack which is in an attached state, charging to the secondary battery pack will not be effected. SOLUTION: A mobile terminal device includes an ID-extracting means 20 for extracting ID information that a secondary battery pack 30 retains; a power supply circuit 8 having an ON/OFF switching function for feeding operation from a charging device 40 to the secondary battery pack, when it is connected to the charging device; and a control means 22 for conducting authentication procedure as to whether the secondary battery pack is compatible with a self-machine, according to ID information extracted by the ID-extracting means, as well as, for controlling so as to cause the power supply circuit to perform feeding operation, if the result of the authentication proceeding determines its compatibility.
