PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling apparatus of low power consumption capable of quickly freezing a frozen object. SOLUTION: In this cooling apparatus, cooling capacity of a stirling refrigeration machine 11 is increased and a temperature Tc of a low temperature-side evaporator 15 is lowered in comparison with an ordinary case by turning off a cooling fan 24, in response to the turning-on of a pre-cooling switch 42, and further the cooling fan 24 and a quick cooling fan 23 are turned on in response to the closing of a quick freezing chamber door 6 after opened.
