摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combustion control method for a gas fuel direct injection engine for improving ignition property and combustion of air-fuel mixture and improving performance of the engine. SOLUTION: This gas fuel direct injection engine is constituted in such a way that gas fuel is directly injected toward a cavity 104C formed on a top face of a piston 104 by at least one direct injection injector 120 and stratified combustion mode forming combustible gas mixture in the vicinity of an ignition plug 109 is performed in at least partial operation region. Turbulence of combustible gas mixture by injection of gas fuel exists in the vicinity of the ignition plug 109 when performing ignition in the stratified combustion mode, and an interval from end to ignition of fuel injection is set in such a way that combustible gas mixture remains in the vicinity of the ignition plug 109.
