PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elastic supporting and fixing device for machining a workpiece with high accuracy. SOLUTION: A rubber mandrel 1 holds and fixes a coil spring 5 and a rubber body 6 by a first support member 3 and an opposed second support member 4. The rubber body 6 wraps up and integrates the coil spring 5 to constitute a rigid elastic body. When the rubber mandrel 1 is compressed, it comes in pressure contact with the workpiece, and the center part of the workpiece is swollen in a curved shape to perform corrective machining of the workpiece, assuming the temperature rise in a working condition.
