METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SPRAYING FINE POWDER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for spraying fine powder (a spacer) adapted to attach the spacer only to a position corresponding to the black matrix of a color filter for a glass substrate for a liquid crystal display device. SOLUTION: The method for spraying the fine powder comprises performing a selective fine powder sticking treatment for removing non-required portions while allowing only the required portions of the fine powder sprayed to the surface of a body to be sprayed to be remained. The fine powder sticking treatment is a treatment that only the required portion of the fine powder sprayed to the surface of the body to be sprayed is heated by radiation and the fine powder of the part to be treated is stuck to the surface of the body to be sprayed. The apparatus comprises embodying the above spraying method. The fine powder sprayed to a region where the treatment by the radiation is heretofore not carried out is preferably removed from the surface of the body to be sprayed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
