A game for providing a mixed reality experience to a user, the game comprising: a game board having at least one marker; game objects to be manipulated by the user, each object having at least two surfaces, each surface having a marker; and game logic to manage game play according to predetermined game rules; herein the position and orientation of the game board and game objects is tracked by identifying markers on the game board and game objects, and game play occurs in response to manipulation of at least one object; and multimedia content associated with at least one identified marker is retrieved and superimposed in a relative position to the at least one identified marker, to provide a mixed reality experience to the user.
