<p>A loudspeaker includes a diaphragm, an edge for supporting the diaphragm on a frame in such a manner that it can vibrate, and a voice coil generating a drive force. The voice coil has a rectangular shape. The longer side of the rectangular shape of the voice coil has length equal to or more than 60% of the length of the diaphragm in the longer side direction. The mounting position of the voice coil longer side to the diaphragm is a position corresponding to a node of the primary resonance mode of the diaphragm in the shorter side direction or in its vicinity. Thus, it is possible to realize a high-quality loudspeaker having a small width (elongated structure) but not easily causing split resonance, thereby obtaining a flat frequency characteristic.</p> |
