<p>A method of quantitatively evaluating the methylated state of a DNA on the genome. According to this method, the methylated state of a target nucleotide residue is quantitatively evaluated by digesting genomic DNA by using a restriction enzyme the cleaving effect of which is inhibited at a specific cleavage point on the genome by the methylation of this nucleotide residue, performing a nucleic acid amplification reaction with the use of primers capable of amplifying a region on the genome involving the cleavage point as described above by using the digestion product as a template, and comparing the amount of the amplification product thus obtained with the amount of another amplification product obtained by using primers capable of amplifying a neighborhood region not involving the cleavage point.</p> |
