<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information transmission system that can feed power to the media converter of an outlet, by installing a feeder device to a distribution board for information via an optical fiber cable with a feeder wire from the feeder device. <P>SOLUTION: The information transmission system is provided with the distribution board for information, having an access circuit terminal device 12, a router function, a switching hub function, the media converter 14 that performs conversion of an optical signal and an electrical signal, and the feeder device 15 that outputs the power for feeding; and the outlet having the media converter 42 that performs conversion of optical signals and electrical signals, and a connecting terminal 44.
