<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing structure for a high pressure pump with excellent productivity capable of appropriately maintaining a clearance between a plunger and a cylinder for a long period of time. <P>SOLUTION: The sealing structure for the high pressure fuel pump 10 is provided with a cylinder body 12 having a cylinder wall 12a and defining an operation space 31 at a position surrounded by the cylinder wall 12a; and a plunger 13 having a surface 13a opposed to the cylinder wall 12a and reciprocating in the operation space 31. In the sealing structure for the high pressure pump, the fuel in a pressurization chamber 11 is pressurized and fed by the reciprocation motion of the plunger 13. The sealing structure for the high pressure fuel pump 10 is provided with resin seals 32, 33 arranged between the cylinder wall 12a of the cylinder body 12 and the surface 13a of the plunger 13 and plastically deformed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
