<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic opening and closing device of a door for a vehicle capable of detecting an obstacle existent on not only an opening movement direction side of the door but also a closing movement direction side of the door by a single detection means to prevent interference of the door with the obstacle when opening and closing the door. <P>SOLUTION: A position of the obstacle in travel locus on the opening movement direction side and the closing movement direction side of the door is detected by an obstacle sensor 4 attached to a vehicle body, and a controller 30 controls an opening and closing driving mechanism 10 of the door so that it does not exceed an opening movable range and a closing movable range of the door set in accordance with the detected position of the obstacle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
