<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic wave transducer in which an acoustic lens material and a groove filling material are integrally formed of the same material. <P>SOLUTION: The ultrasonic wave transducer is provided with a plurality of vibrator elements which include a piezoelectric vibrator for emitting an ultrasonic wave, a first acoustic matching layer, and a second acoustic matching layer; and a piezoelectric vibrator element, a backing layer for holding the piezoelectric vibrator element, and an acoustic lens.
