PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crimped yarn for carpet, having controlled smooth color change and presence of a space dye yarn, and giving a carpet having strong contrast and good designing flexibility and provide a carpet produced by using the yarn. SOLUTION: The crimped yarn for carpet is composed by blend and entangling (a) a space dye crimped yarn composed of a multifilament partly dyed in different colors in the longitudinal direction of the yarn and (b) two kinds of crimped yarns having definite color tone, composed of multifilaments having uniform color tone over the whole length of the yarn and having an L-value difference of≥20.
