PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner capable of preventing a gap nozzle from being lost. SOLUTION: When an extension pipe 6 is connected to the tip part of the tip cylinder part 17 of the hand operation part 5 of a hose body 4 in the state of housing the gap nozzle 7 in a housing part 28, a lid body 27 is fixed to a closed state. Thus, at the time of using the extension pipe 6, that is the time of not using the gap nozzle 7, just by connecting the extension pipe 6 to the tip part of the hand operation part 5, the housing part 28 is closed by the lid body 27, the gap nozzle 7 is surely housed inside the housing part 28, the gap nozzle 7 is prevented from being detached from an attaching part 13, and the gap nozzle 7 is prevented from being lost when it is not in use.
