PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stitch ruler for which attaching work is easy, the position of the stitch ruler does not obstruct sewing work and the position of a guide roller 3 of the stitch ruler is easily adjusted, and which can be switched in linkage with a sewing machine when it is not needed and can be attached to the sewing machine of a different form as well. SOLUTION: A holder 1 holding an arm 4 having the guide roller 3 for adjusting a seam width of the stitch ruler on the tip is attached to the rear part of a sewing machine head, the arm 4 is extended to a sewing position from the rear part and is arranged so as not to obstruct the sewing work, the position of the guide roller 3 of the stitch ruler can be switched in three stages and its length can be also adjusted further.
