PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chair type massage machine, when starting a massage, capable of changing the angle of a footrest to an angle fitted to the body height of a user without requiring a user to perform an operation for adjusting the angle of the footrest in each case. SOLUTION: This chair type massage machine 1 is provided with a backrest 4 having a massage part 8 in its inside, the footrest 5 vertically rotationally provided at the front end side of a seat part 3 and having a leg massage part 18, an electric reclining function, and a body height setting function detecting the seated height of the user 7 and setting the body height.
