The invention relates to a shelf storage system (1), comprising at least two shelf units (1a - 1d), whereby each shelf unit is provided with a dedicated transportable shelf serving device (5) with electrical drive motors (6, 7, 8) and an electrical energy supply circuit (P, S1, S2, S3), supplying the shelf units (1a - 1d) with electrical energy. The shelf serving devices (5) are embodied such as to recycle the electrical energy generated in the drive motors (6, 7, 8) thereof back into the electrical supply circuit, whereby the electrical energy supply circuit distributes the electrical energy recycled by the shelf serving units as required between the shelf units (arrow ES1, arrow EP). |
