<p>The invention relates to a system comprising a cooker (1) which defines an internal chamber (2) having a cardioid-shaped cross-section. According to the invention, two screw conveyors (4) are mounted axially inside the aforementioned chamber such that the screw turns thereof are oriented in opposing directions. Moreover, said screw turns are interconnected in order to move the material to be descaled forward from the inlet, which is equipped with a feed column (5) comprising a lateral screw conveyor (6), to an outlet for the pulp which flows counter-current to the washing water and liquor applied to the cooker. The cooker is inclined slightly towards the inlet in order to ensure that the material to be treated is effectively impregnated by the liquor. The system is designed to enable the industrial use of non-wood cellulosic materials, with the fibrous components thereof being used in the production of paper.</p> |
