<p>The inventive machine is used for applying labels from a continuous polymer strip to round and square rounded containers. Said machine comprises a drive vacuum drum (14), a device (12, 13) for supplying the label strip (7) from a spool (6) to the drum surface, for applying glue (15) to the strip surface, for cutting the strip (16) into separate labels (46), for bringing (2) the containers (4) and for pressing (18) the label to the container. The gluing device is embodied in the form of a glue-containing bath (21) provided with a roller (20) placed thereinside and a roller (20) comprising a contact plate (33) and an electric heater (44). A fixed screw (25) for supplying the glue to the roller surface when the roller (21) cover which is connected to the bath by a slit rotates is disposed in the cavity of the roller (19). The external surface of the plate (33) is projected outside the side surface of the roller (20). Said roller (20) is mounted near the drum (14) and the axis of rotation (23) thereof is placed at an equal distance from the drum (14) surface and from the roller (19). The strip (7) is supplied between the surfaces of the drum (14) and the roller (20). During each turn, the plate (33) contacts the surface of the roller (19) and transfers the glue therefrom to the strip. The inventive structural design makes it possible to reduce the thickness of a glue layer on the strip and a time for supplying the strip from a glue-application position to the cutting position thereof, thereby contributing for decreasing a number of defects during the label application to the container, simplifying the machine and reducing the size thereof.</p> |
