PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical recording medium in which the surface roughness of an ink receiving layer is surely reduced and therefore high-quality printing is made possible.
SOLUTION: The optical recording medium is provided with a light transmitting substrate 11, a transparent supporting substrate 12, an adhesive layer 23 disposed between the light transmitting substrate and the supporting substrate and having a lightness of ≥8 and a saturation of ≤4, and the transparent ink receiving layer 24 disposed on the side opposite from the light transmitting substrate when viewed from the supporting substrate. As a result, the need for interposing a white ink layer and the like between the ink receiving layer 24 and the supporting substrate 12 is eliminated and consequently the manufacturing process is simplified. Further, the surface characteristics of the supporting substrate 12 are reflected in the ink receiving layer 24 and therefore when, for example, the supporting substrate 12 is manufactured by an injection molding method, the average roughness (Ra) of the surface of the ink receiving layer 24 is made extremely small. For this reason, when printing is performed by using a printer of an ink jet type, color development and gloss approximate to those of a photograph with silver halide can be obtained.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
