PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blur correcting optical device capable of correcting image blur such that an optical lens starts a moving operation relative to the main body of the bur correcting optical device at a stable initial movement voltage smoothly from the initial movement without causing frictional resistance and, even after that, the optical lens linearly, highly accurately and parallelly moves with the driving force of a driving means. SOLUTION: In the blur correcting optical device 1 mounted in a camera 2, a movable part 5 having the optical lens 4 is supported on the main body 7 of the blur correcting optical device with a plurality of wires 6 in order to correct image blur. The plurality of support wires are flexible and extend parallel to the main axis B of the optical lens. One end of each support wire is held by the main body 7 of the device and the other end of it is attached to a lens holder 3.
