PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive and compact imaging lens having fine optical performance as a solid state imaging device. SOLUTION: The imaging lens for forming an image on the solid state imaging device is constituted of three lenses, i.e. an aperture stop ST, a positive first lens L1 turning a convex face to the object side, a positive second lens L2 turning a convex face to the image face side and a negative third lens L3 turning a concave surface to the image face side which are arranged successively from the object side and satisfies a conditional inequality of 0.71<f1<1.1 (f1: focal distance of the first lens and f2: focal distance of the second lens).
