PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens that can easily be produced and ensures the sufficient strength of adhesion to a lens holder despite a small-diameter lens, and to provide a set lens. SOLUTION: The lens 13 includes: an effective section 20; an edge section 21 formed around the effective section 20 and having at least a front or back flat face intersecting its axial direction; and a thin rib section 22 formed around the edge section 21 and having a front or back flat face intersecting the axial direction.
