PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an acoustic apparatus at a low cost that protects components when a speaker or the like causes a short-circuit fault or a speaker outside the rating is connected to the acoustic apparatus and prevents the components in the amplifier from causing an abnormal temperature rise. SOLUTION: The acoustic apparatus includes: a power supply section 5; a regulator section 2 for stepping down a voltage outputted from the power supply section 5; an amplifier 7 connected to the regulator section 2; and speakers 8, 9 connected to the amplifier 7, when the amplifier 7 or any of the speakers 8, 9 causes a short-circuit fault, a protection circuit built in the regulator section 2 stops an output voltage from the regulator section 2.
