PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easily manufacturable cooling structure of a cylinder liner capable of cooling the cylinder liner uniformly, forming a clearance between a tip of a fin and a wall opposing to the fin precisely, able to replace a cylinder liner part, and reducing weight of a cylinder block. SOLUTION: In this cooling structure for circulating cooling water supplied from a water pump in a water jacket 26 formed along the outer periphery of the cylinder liner 12 to cool the cylinder liner 12, the water jacket 26 is composed of the cylinder liner 12 and a cylinder block main body 21 as a peripheral wall surrounding the cylinder liner 12. A plurality of fins 53 are formed in either of the cylinder liner 12 and the cylinder block main body 21. A narrow space 85 is formed among tips 53a of these fins 53 and the other of the cylinder liner 12 and the cylinder block main body 21 to cause turbulent flow in cooling water by the narrow space 85.
