PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a die for die casting which can suppress the intrusion of a releasing agent into the die as a whole, and to provide a die for die casting which easily extrudes the releasing agent outside even when the releasing agent intrudes into the die. SOLUTION: On a fixed mold 1 and a movable mold 2, through holes 11, 12a having ends of one side communicating with core engaging parts 29a, 29b, respectively and ends of the other side communicating with the outside are formed, and the ends of the other side of the through holes 11, 12a are each connected to a gas feeding source 40. In a step where a releasing agent is applied and a step wherein the releasing agent is dried by air blow, the core engaging parts 29a, 29b are fed with air by the gas feeding source 40, thus the intrusion of the releasing agent into the core engaging parts 29a, 29b is suppressed.
