PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manually drivable electric reel for fishing enabling the selection of operation mode (electric winding mode and manual winding mode) according to the circumstance of the fishing spot having a severe fishing environment. SOLUTION: The electric reel is provided with a spool rotatably supported on a reel body, a handle attached to the reel body and carrying out the winding operation of the spool, a spool motor attached to the reel body and winding the spool by an external power source connected through a feed cord to a feed cord connection part of the reel body, a line-length measuring device to measure and display the delivered line length and the wound line length, a monitoring means to monitor the voltage of the power source connected to a power feeding circuit, a memory means to set and store a prescribed voltage condition, and a controlling means to switch the power feeding state between a power driving mode to enable the winding at least with the spool motor and a manual driving mode to drive only the line length measuring device with the handle based on the monitored result of the monitoring means and the voltage condition.
