<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for simply and positively detecting the abnormalities of a portable generator equipped with a plurality of power supply units, comprising output coil winding and a rectifying circuit. <P>SOLUTION: The portable generator is equipped with a plurality of output coil windings L1 to L4, mutually and individually wound around the same iron core, and a plurality of power supply units having rectifying circuits 2 to 5 provided corresponding to the output coil windings. The power supply units generate an integrated output. Control means 33 to 35 control the rectifying circuits so that the output voltage matches the target voltage Vref. When an added power W computed based on the added current I of the rectifying circuits 2 to 5 and the target voltage Vref becomes a power target value Wref, a power comparator 39 lowers the target voltage Vref relative to the rise in the added value current larger than the power target value to control the output of the rectifying circuits 2 to 5.
