PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose a controller of an electric vehicle which controls a retry for usually returning to run, without stopping a vehicle when a traction inverter stops switching due to overcurrent self-protection. SOLUTION: The controller of the electric vehicle (10) controls a power supply system of the electric automobile (10), having a first dc power supply (20) for supplying a dc power to the traction inverter (50), a second dc power supply (30) connected in parallel with the first dc power supply (20) through a DC/DC converter (40). The controller of the electric vehicle (10) includes a breaking means (70) for breaking the power supply from the first dc power supply (20) to the traction inverter (50) by synchronizing with the operation of the self-protection circuit (51), when the self-protection circuit (51) of the traction inverter (50) is operated by the overcurrent supplied from the first dc power supply (20).
