摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To impart identification information of a slave unit automatically in a communications system, in which a master unit is connected with two or more slave units via a common communication line. SOLUTION: In a tire condition monitoring system, in which a monitoring ECU 50 and two or more receivers 30 are connected via one communication line 40, a monitoring ECU 50 as a master unit transmits sequentially two or more ID setting requesting signals, to which identification information to be set for each receiver 30 is attached, through broadcast while a setting response signal from the receiver 30 is checked. When the ID setting requesting signal is received, each receiver 30 as a slave unit sets a monitoring time Td based on a random variable R, if a self receiver ID has not been set. When another receiver 30 does not transmit a setting response signal during the progress of the monitoring time Ed, each receiver 30 as the slave unit transmits the setting response signal on the communication line 40, and the receiver ID contained in the ID setting requesting signal received this time is set as a self receiver ID.
