PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system capable of realizing communication more reduced in limitations in the case of discriminating specific reception. SOLUTION: The communication system is provided with: an image data storage means for storing a plurality of image data to refer to; and a transfer destination mail address storage means storing an electronic mail address of a transfer destination for each of image data stored in the image data storage means. When picture information is received by a facsimile communication function, it is retrieved whether or not any one piece of the image data stored in the image data storage means is included in image data of the received picture information. When it is discriminated by the retrieval that any image data are contained, an electronic mail address of a transfer destination stored in the transfer destination mail address storage means in accordance with the image data is read out, and the received picture information is transmitted to the destination of the read electronic mail address using electronic mail.
