PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coal analytical method, and a coal quality control method using an X-ray CT unit capable of simplifying operation control, and capable of preventing a facility cost and an operation cost from increasing, by analyzing a composition of coal and by measuring a particle size distribution of the coal quickly and precisely with one measurement using the X-ray CT unit. SOLUTION: A fine composition component group and/or a fine composition component content of the coal, and the particle size distribution of the coal are calculated from a result in the one measurement using the X-ray CT unit. The coal analytical method capable of simplifying the operation control, and capable of preventing the facility cost and the operation cost from increasing is provided since the composition of the coal is analyzed and the particle size distribution of the coal is measured quickly and precisely with the one measurement using the X-ray CT unit.
