PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide bentonite intended for easily and quickly discriminating the mixture ratio between sediment and bentonite in a bentonite composite soil in a field without using any specific device. SOLUTION: Bentonite for use in a bentonite composite soil, which is entirely or partially colored with any one of food colors, paints, pigments and dyes or contains a natural mineral having luminescent or fluorescent property, and is capable of realizing the discrimination of the mixture ratio between sediment and bentonite.
