PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent erroneous detection of a water level sensor by preventing scales from adhering to the water level sensor of a steam generator. SOLUTION: This water level sensor 43 is formed of a self-heating thermister formed by inserting a detection element in a casing closed at the one end. When an opening instruction is given to a drain valve and water becomes absent in a pot 41 and a waiting state is continued for a specified time and water becomes absent in the pot 41, a controller turns off the energization of the self-heating thermister. Accordingly, the scales are prevented from being adhered to the water level sensor 43. Also, unnecessary heating by the self-heating thermister can be avoided.
