PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a support, surely preventing adhesion of water to a contact surface and a base isolation device including the support. SOLUTION: A rubber-made cover member 152 is disposed in the periphery of a laminated rubber body 116. A slide surface 112S is completely covered with the cover member 152, an upper plate 115 and a laminated rubber body 116, whereby foreign matter is prevented from adhering to the slide surface 112S from the outside and water can be prevented from adhering thereto when an elastic slide support 104 is submerged.
